Dubbed “Lead Sled,” this custom 1951 Mercury Monterey was meticulously crafted and professionally built, earning it John D’Agostino’s Crystal Award of Excellence. Under the hood is a 429ci Super Cobra Jet engine equipped with Holley Sniper electronic fuel injection. It is paired with a C6 3-speed automatic transmission delivering power to a 9-inch rear end. The engine exhales out of a dual side-exit exhaust system. It is also equipped with power steering. This chopped Mercury sits on a full Art Morrison chassis and has a custom firewall and floors with tubs for a solid foundation. The stance is adjustable with the AccuAir air-ride suspension. The exterior features shaved door handles with electronic poppers, frenched headlights, and a bespoke front grille and bumper. It rides on custom Colorado Custom billet wheels wrapped in whitewall tires. The full custom leather interior has been hand-tufted for a touch of luxury and features air conditioning, power windows and a custom sound system.
